Artisan Shop

In Judson Cleveland's day, it was not uncommon for a prosperous businessman to have a carriage house close by his home, just as we use a garage. Mr. Cleveland's carriage house, where he stabled his horse Kit, outgrew that original purpose, and served for a time as Alma's first firehouse. Though the raised portion of the horse stall is still visible, today the building is the Artisan's Shop. In business for over twenty-five years, we sell only handmade works by maritime craftspeople. This year, we have gathered an excellent collection of work by both new and established artists and crafters throughout our area. There will also be candle-making and other demonstrations from time to time. We hope you can stop in and see what we have to offer -- and find something memorable to take home with you. The Artisan's Shop is open from late May through September. Come see what we have to offer!
